Welcome to My Personal Page
On October 20-21, 2018, I will be riding around Galveston Bay in the 12th annual Bike Around the Bay cycling event. I am riding to support the largest and most productive bay in Texas. Although the Galveston Bay provides amazing recreational and tourism opportunities like boating and fishing while also supporting an important commercial fishing industry that puts Galveston Bay shrimp, oysters and blue crab on our dinner plates, the abundance of wildlife in the area is what drives me to want to help.
For the past few years, I have witnessed the Spring bird migration into the United States from Mexico and Central America. After crossing from the Yucatan Peninsula, many of the birds land to rest and eat all around the Galveston Bay. Over 2 or 3 days we will see over 100 different species of birds on High Island, the Bolivar Peninsula and in the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge. It is an area that is very special and worth conserving, so I am asking for your help. You can help make a difference in preserving and protecting the Bay right in our own backyards by making a tax-deductible donation to my ride. Your contribution will support the Galveston Bay Foundation which works with all Bay users to preserve the beauty, tranquility, and health of Galveston Bay. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps create a better Bay!
